NOROMIS PHOTOLAB QUICK START

This Quick Reference describes how to install Noromis PhotoLab, and then provides an overview of the Noromis PhotoLab workspace as well as instructions for getting more information and help.

Step 1: Download Noromis PhotoLab

  • Go to http://www.noromis.com/download/.
  • Under email, type your email address and then click Get the code.
  • Noromis sends you an email containing further instructions on how to download. Follow the instructions to download Noromis PhotoLab.

Step 2: Install Noromis PhotoLab

  1. If you elected to first download, then go to the location where you downloaded Noromis PhotoLab in step 1, and then run NoromisPhotoLab.msi.
  2. On the Welcome page, click Next.
  3. On the License Agreement page, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then click Next.
  4. On the Customer Information page, type your name, and then click Next.
  5. To install Noromis PhotoLab to the default location, C:\Program Files\Noromis PhotoLab, click Next.
  6. To have Noromis PhotoLab open your photo files by default, make sure the Associate Noromis PhotoLab with your photo files check box, and then click Next.

    To create an icon to start Noromis PhotoLab on your desktop, make sure the Create Noromis PhotoLab's shortcut on the desktop check box is selected. Click Next.
  7. Click Install.

Step 3: Run Noromis PhotoLab

If you want to work with existing photos, you can run Noromis PhotoLab and get started right away.

If you want to get photos from your camera, use the Get Photos Wizard.

  • To run Noromis PhotoLab (existing photos): Double-click the Noromis PhotoLab icon on your desktop, or click Start, point to Programs, point to Noromis PhotoLab, and then click Noromis PhotoLab.
  • To use the Get Photos Wizard: Connect your digital camera or other photo device to your computer. When you see the Noromis PhotoLab prompt, click Next to select options and begin the photo transfer. For more information see the Quick Start: Get Photo card.

IMPORTANT!

  • Before printing any photos, we strongly recommend that you run the Print Setup Wizard, to calibrate Noromis PhotoLab to your specific printer and paper size. From the Noromis PhotoLab File menu, choose Print Setup Wizard. If you have not done this before your first print, Noromis PhotoLab will display a message reminding you. Step 4: Learn about the Noromis PhotoLab Workspace

(1) Mode tabs
Click to Find-select photos; Fix-enhance them; Print; and Share-email or save.
(2) Tools
Options that let you work with the photos displayed in the (4) workspace.
(3) Menu bar
Menu access to all modes and tools, as well as modify preferences and get help.
(4) Your photos and workspace
Your photos. In Find mode, select the thumbnails to work with.
(5) Thumbnail controls
Change the size of thumbnails; select all or clear all thumbnails.
(6) Photo view controls
View photos as thumbnails, fit to window, or full screen.
(7) Help hints
Get a quick overview of how to use the tools in the selected mode.
(8) Full help
Get full help information on how to use Noromis PhotoLab.

Step 5: Learn more

  • From the Help menu, select Help Topics.
